Stem the Slide™ provides gap funding to impactful organizations, like the Los Angeles County Alliance for Boys & Girls Club, by creating partnerships with like-minded allies to raise discretionary funds for out of school programs adversely affected by school shut downs. In communities of Black, Indigenous and People of Color, (many served by the B&GCA) school closures have exacerbated already massive educational inequities. Our solution is based on keeping Clubs open as their role as community space continues to grow. In our view, keeping Clubs open while schools are closed (or limited) helps to not only stem the slide, but enhance community as well.
